Call me overrated or created or too jaded because any way you put it, bitch I made it!
Yes, just hours ago MTV aired a documentary allowing insight into the life of Canada’s own, Drake, including the production behind Thank Me Later as well as some footage of his personal life and his inner circle. Up top is part 1, check after the jump for the rest of the documentary. Props to 2dopeboyz.com

Alright so last week, on June 15th 2010, I was downtown Toronto, attending my last spring class at Ryerson University. As soon as I got out of the subway, the first thing I saw was the massive line of people waiting to buy Drake’s album. Of course, class was my priority so I ended up buying my album later on in the day. With that being said, I decided to do a review of Thank Me Later, which is going to include my favorite lyric from each song.. if I can decide which one is my favorite! Anyways, love it or hate it, agree with me or not.. here I go..
Fireworks (Ft. Alicia Keys)
Perfect opener for the album. I’m not really a huge fan of Alicia, but when she and Drake work together, it’s magic. Personally, I thought this was one of the best songs on the album. Drake did his thing on this one. The singing and rapping together is really what did it for me, just pure talent all around.
“Let’s stay together til we’re ghost, I wanna witness love, I never seen it close”. (Keep reading for the entire album review after the jump…)

For those of you who will purchase “Thank Me Later” on iTunes this Tuesday morning, you will receive two bonus tracks on top of the full album. The first is “Best I Ever Had” and the second is “9Am in Dallas” which you can download up top, finalized and mastered.

DOWNLOAD: Drake ft. Jay-Z – Light Up (Tags)
So many lines to quote from this one, but the only description it really needs is, straight up classic hip hop, produced by Tone Mason & Noah “40″ Shebib.
Here is what Complex mag had to say about the song in their preview of the album:
This is straight hip-hop. Drake doesn’t waste Jay-Z’s verbal virtuosity as each MC spits 32 bars. Drake steps up his lyrical linguistics, but it’s Young Hov that knocks it out of the park with lines like, “Oww…Hov turn heads like…owls/And I’m the man of the…hour/Triple entendres, don’t even ask me…how/Con Edison flow, I’m connected to a higher…power.” Drake + Hov = money in the bank.

A radio rip dropped a few days ago, and now the CDQ has been released. Apparently though this is still not the final version that will appear on Thank Me Later, June 15th!

DOWNLOAD: Drake ft. Young Jeezy – Unforgettable (Prod by. 40) [Radio Rip]
See what 40 did there with that Aaliyah sound? R.I.P. to ma home girl, and big up to Drake & Jeezy for making a super nice hit record. At this rate, by June 15th, we probably might get the whole album. Go purchase Thank Me Later, even if you download it first!

Drake featured on the cover of Billboard magazine which is on newsstands now. Thank Me Later, June 15th, you already know!
“I know I have a lot of growing up to do, but I guess, unfortunately, people won’t judge me as if this is my first album or my first year in the game. This is a crucial moment for me. It actually feels like my last album, not my first. I’ll be working hard to make sure you remember it. I’ll be in your city, performing all the songs, and hopefully looking at you in your eyes and let you know it’s real out here, man. I’m ready.” – Drake

Even though this is the actual final song, it’s still not the CDQ. Every rapper should not to use this same promotion scheme for their next album single, lol.
