So I go out to chill for the day and when I get back inside what do I see…? Eminem’s brand new album, Recovery, leaked to its entirety all over the web, even a bunch of blogs posted some new tracks. So I downloaded the whole album myself and gave it a full top to bottom spin. My thoughts? Im not sure actually, the first time around… I was disappointed, because the Eminem that appears on this album, is not the artist I know him to be, but what do I care when I got a dope ass freestyle like the one up top, where Eminem spits some crazy stuff over some Alchemist instrumental on the Tim Westwood show. On the real though, im not sure if Recovery will ever grow on me, I just feel that it was poorly thrown together and rushed out to the stores. Im guessing once Slaughterhouse comes into the scene, Shady records and the boss himself may finally get things rolling again.

Let me be the first to tell you that Royce goes hard on this, but then again he goes hard on everything he jumps on. Slaughterhouse has signed to Shady, just waiting for the final details on that.

During this interview HipHopOfficial caught up with the whole Slaughterhouse crew, Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz & Royce Da 5′9. They speak about how the group came together, what each of their roles are and when they plan to drop new projects. Ive been waiting for this video for a while, and now im excited that its finally here! So many quotable lines in this one that im just not going to bother to pick them out, but i will twist Budden’s lyrics a bit and says this… “If I think hip hop is dead, i think its being revived… and that comes from 1VIBE being inside”.

Info on the video: The joint is a remix of Joell’s original, Move On song. The beat was produced by The Kickdrums, and the video was directed by John Colombo. And if yall still haven’t figured it out yet, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5′9″, & Crooked I, together make what they call the “Slaughterhouse”.
