Some of you may have heard of Lupe Fiasco do his thing over the Say Something instrumental already, but if you haven’t, no problem because DJ Hyphen decided to mix Lupe’s verse with the original version of the track featuring Timbaland and Drake.

Solar Midnite is my first commercial release that I actually produced as well as wrote. The New Moon team asked me if I could do a song specifically for the film. They invited me to an early screening of the unfinished film from which I pulled different elements that I thought would translate into a great song. I pulled in vocalist and bassist Graham Burris and acclaimed musician Matt Nelson to help fill it out my vision musically and “joila” Solar Midnite was born. The song basically deals with the chaotic love story that takes place between the characters. It’s more on the rock side of my musical catalog and comes straight from my die hard fanhood of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Anthony Keidis, one of my FAVORITE RAPPERS – Lupe Fiasco
Posted on 20:48, October 11th, 2009 by ildinoAfter seeing the first stop of Jay-Z’s tour at Penn State on Friday, I drove back to Morgantown, WV and made it in time to see Lupe perform at an underpromoted fraternity Step competition Sprite was sponsoring on campus. Here’s a video I took on my iPhone of Lupe performing his new joint “Fire”; he gives a minute-long intro explaining the track and what it has to do with MTV’s recently released 2009 Hottest MCs List. I believe this is the first time he’s performed the track. – WDIR

Brand new Lupe Fiasco and just like the title of the track, this is straight FIRE!! What I find interesting though is how the MTV list of the best rappers in the game did not include Lupe or Eminem? Them dudes is idiots for real, tell em I said that!

These are two new snippets that are rumored to be leaked tracks from Lupe Fiaco’s upcoming album, LupEND. Nothing is 100% sure, but so far the material sounds really wicked. The album should be dropping sometime in December 2009.

Both of these guys are mad talented and w/e their up to should def be dope. I wish they would actually do an album together.. that would be interesting!
