Shout-out to NMC for dropping the exclusive. On the real, I feel like everyone waited so long for this record, just to be disappointed. I guess we can wait for the final untagged/mastered version, but I doubt that’s gona change how I feel about this joint. This is what Detox is gona sound like? I really hope not… for the sake of the whole industry!
If you ain’t heard, Detroit rapper Hayes recently got the biggest record deal around, signed by Dr. Dre & Timbaland and their respective labels. When I first heard this, I thought it was crazy, so I had to check up on Hayes. This is when I discovered his new mixtape “The First 48“. To get a feel for his sound/style, below I posted 2 of my favorite tracks from the tape. Timbo & Dre are both comparing him to the likes of B.I.G., but Ill let the music speak for itself. Hayes has apparently put in a lot of work behind the scenes in both camps for years so the work ethic between the parties should be on point. Look out for more content from Hayes here on 1VIBE.

There you have it folks, it appears as though we wont be waiting much longer to hear some official material from the super highly anticipated Dr. Dre album “Detox“. I know having Hov on it is big enough, but imagine somehow they forgot to mention that Eminem is also featured on it? Now that would be HUGE wouldn’t it?
I guess it was only right for Jimmy to bid for this talent…
A big birdie tells me that Yelawolf has officially signed to Interscope Records. Again, buzz+climate created a bidding war, but it seems Jimmy Iovine was highly motivated. Congrats to the Alabaman! Now usually I just pretend to be interested in people, but I’m honestly intrigued by this fellow (and I enjoy his Zannel). Fans who were introduced to Yelawolf’s twang on Juelz Santana’s “Mixing up the Medicine” may need to ease into his unfiltered solo work, but I like his southern-comfort-in-his-own-skin. It’s definitely attracted some vets (Bun B, Travis Barker, the Neptunes, etc), not to mention, everyone who saw Yelawolf at SxSW left raving as well. So that’s no small feat. – Source: Miss Info.
Big congratulations to Yelawolf and his team, this just goes to show that talent, hard work, and making that good music will open doors.

I personally do not like Busta’s new album and i wish the dude would just work with Dr.Dre to make some solid shit but hey you can’t sit there waiting for people, the man has to do his own thing. What does everyone else think, yall like the new Busta or what?

Following the news that 50 Cent’s “Before I Self Destruct” album has been pushed back second to Eminem’s release, Marshall today announced the official release date for “Relapse”. But that’s not all of the news because Eminem and Dr.Dre worked so hard apparently there is going to be a “Relapse 2″ this year as well! That is amazing, if this actually all happen’s Eminem might make history afterall as predicted by me.
Here is a quote from the full press release which you can read to its entirety after the jump…
Eminem, the biggest selling music artist of the decade, officially announced the street date of his eagerly awaited new album; his first original studio album in over four years. Relapse (Interscope/ Aftermath/Shady) will be released on May 19, 2009. The first single from the album and its accompanying video will see a simultaneous release on April 7th.

The year of the Aftermath begins. Funk Flex let this single off of 50 Cent’s upcoming album “Before I Self Destruct” go yesterday on the radio titled “I Get It In” and now we got the dirty/cdq version for you to download, oh and did i mention this shit is produced by Dr.Dre! I think this track has potential to blow up and i know the clubs will eat this up for sure.
We also got the official track list which you can check out below. The production is crazy on this project. If this album fails (in music quality) then i will be worried for Interscope, and as far as music sales go, i think as long as the album is good the numbers wont matter.
