For Diligent’s 2nd promo video we decided to head down to Yorkville, Toronto, where the words “Money makes the world go round” most definitely apply. To make things more interesting, we came up with a concept to make the last 3 promo videos connect together to tell a story. In “Seldomly Sleep“, Diligent wrote a chorus depicting his come up, his hustle, and the struggles he’s had to endure to make it to this point in life. Staying true to his roots, he takes the opportunity to use his verse to show love to the city that raised him, T-Dot. By the end of the video Diligent is done moving his product for the day and meets up with his homies to go kick it for the night. The video, directed by Frankie N Films, features appearances by producer LiTEWORKS, 1VIBE blogger Ildino, and Diligent’s homie Kumanan. Here are a few hints for the next video: the title of the track is “Hold Me Down“, it continues where this one left off, it was shot inside a 60+ story condo in the heart of downtown Toronto, oh and I can’t forget to mention that Diligent made it especially for all the ladies out there!

Since its a bit slow today, i decided to drop something different. I noticed that in our website category “Toronto Talent” we had yet to feature Drake. Fo real? So you know we had to do it up for the homie.

MuchMusic recently followed rapper Drake as he headed to his first sold-out hometown show at Sound Academy in Toronto. From meeting up with his entourage and arriving at the venue, to chilling in the green room and stepping on stage, we were there to capture every moment. It’s a must-watch cause you’ll get a good sense of Drake’s humble personality and charming nature. Is it just us, or was he particularly charming towards our lovely VJ, Sarah Taylor? Who can blame him, really.

We now have a new 1VIBE Live Chat system installed on our website, located on the right hand side below the “Categories” section. We decided it was time to give our visitors more power to voice their opinions on our posts and a chance to speak louder and let you write about what’s on your mind. The system is called “CBox” and it allows you to post as a “annonymous user” or if you would like to make a name for yourself and be known to the admins & 1VIBE community, then you can choose to “register your user name” so that the name you choose to chat with is protected and cannot be used by anyone else who chooses to write a message.

At the moment we have set your message length at a maximum of “500″ words but if more is needed we can make changes. We actually paid money to bring you the “premium version” of the “Cbox” so make sure that you guys put it to good use! You will be able to tell appart from admins, register users, and annonymous guests by the color coding of their names.

I will be using the username “Ildino” to chat with all of you and as we expand our 1VIBE team, you will notice the addition of the new admins.

Yall knew it was coming, it was only a matter of time before we let yall in on the “fact” that we produce our own music, and it’s now time for us to get shit poppin. We decided to set it off with ma homie Diligent, coming straight from Scarborough, Toronto, Canada. The other week we kicked it in my home studio and Diligent quickly wrote an ILL verse on a joint we called “Sinners”.
