Another one of those 1VIBE Exclusives! This time, ILuvLola reached out to us to edit the official behind the scenes footage of P. Reign’s latest music video, In My Hood, produced by T-Minus. The shoot took place in P. Reign’s old hood, Galloway, Toronto, just a few streets away from my hood, M&E. The video actually has a dope concept derived from the movie BELLY. To bring this vision to life, Louie “Ox” Rankin from the movie BELLY makes an appearance along with Drake. “In My Hood” will be featured on P. Reign’s upcoming mixtape hosted by DJ Holiday titled, When It Reigns It Pours.

On May 29th Frankie N. Films & 1VIBE headed west bound towards London, Ontario shooting the official “London Town” music video for hometown artist Richie Blackz. The song is anthem for the town so the concept of the video directly reflects the lyrics, showcasing landmarks and neighborhoods which London residents grow up in.

The shoot began early morning and ended at midnight. Below I’ve included the official behind the scenes pictures shot & edited by Frankie N. Films. This should give you a taste of the rest of the content that will be released in the upcoming weeks which includes, the official behind the scenes video brought to you by The Come Up Show, the music video trailer, and the final video which is set to be released on July 24, 2010.

About a month ago, I got a message from “K tha Boss” from Cardigan Gang Music Group, to do an exclusive behind the scene’s coverage of their brand new music video “Booty Poppin” by Toronto artist TommY-G featuring Famous. 1VIBE & Frankie N. Films took on the job to bring you an exclusive interview with TommY-G, some dope behind the scenes pictures (included below), and an exclusive BTS video (coming soon) to give you a glimpse of how exactly everything went down. The music video was shot at Pacha Lounge located on the West side of Toronto. Booty Poppin is TommY-G’s lead single off his upcoming album, “Top of the Food Chain” scheduled for release, Fall 2010. The single is being distributed by Cardigan Gang Music Group/Island Def Jam, and is now available for download/purchase on iTunes. Here we go, it’s that time again, another promo video from Toronto artist Diligent, this being the 3rd of the 4 total promo videos directed by Frankie N. Films. In the previous video, Diligent was hustling his product in the streets of Yorkville, Toronto, a place where “money makes the world go round“. At the end of the video we saw Diligent meeting up with his boys to go out and party for the night. Hold Me Down (produced by LiTEWORKS) continues the story as Diligent heads home to his girlfriend after a long day of pushing the stuff that’s in his bag. But when you’re on a serious hustle, you never know what will come up and ruin your plans. Watch the video to find out what really went down.

In the final video, which we will release by the end of the month, Diligent reveals the product that he has been pushing throughout the last 3 promo videos. We will also reveal the name of Diligent’s first official single as a solo artist, which will be pushed internationally, released to DJ’s, radio stations, clubs, mixtapes, blogs and more. As you can see my dude ain’t going no where, and with all of the content we have been creating for the past month, Diligent is here to stay. On May 27, 2010, The Remix Project held an open house event at their brand new facility in downtown Toronto. 1VIBE & Frankie N. Films were invited to do an official interview with Remix co-founder, Drex, and put together a tour video of the new space. The event included a live performance by The Trews, who also conducted a Q&A with all the attendees about the music industry in Canada. Virgin Mobile & Samsung representatives showed their support for The Remix Project and were in attendance providing further funding to help insure that the program continues to run.

The video up top, created in collaboration with iluvlola.net & HipHopCanada is only part 1 of our coverage. In part 2 (coming soon) you can catch Remix founder, Gavin Sheppard, Virgin Mobile, and Samsung speaking about the new program space and their collaborative efforts towards building an even stronger program for the future semesters. Also featured is the Q&A + live performance from The Trews.

Tomorrow, Thursday June 10, 2010, The Remix Project, will be holding a fundraising event, for its Toronto based youth program. The event will be hosted by T-Rexx of 1LoveT.O. and Johnny Hockin of MTV. DJ’s include Wristpect, Mensa, Agile and many more.

Fellow 1VIBE visitors, it is my pleasure to introduce you to an amazingly talented singer from Toronto by the name of Karen Jules. About a month ago, Karen got in touch with me and my team and hired Frankie N Films to shoot a music video for her first single off her upcoming album, The Victor, scheduled to be released in October 2010. The video concept was strictly based on the content and story told by the lyrics Karen scripted for the song. The video begins with a young boy by the name of Jonny who falls asleep while drawing on his scrapbook, dreaming of a time when he is older. Throughout the dream Jonny deals with bad temptations brought forward by the evil company of his best friend who ultimately betrays him.

The actors playing in the video include, Lance Constantine (Older Jonny), Micaiah Jules (Younger Jonny), Proverbs, Patience Mpuluwana, and Craig Doyle Henry. This isn’t the first time they have all been in a music video, in fact they are all very talented artists. The cast including Karen Jules will be featured in a play called “The Ultimate Sacrifice” at the Panasonic Theater, in Toronto, on June 25, 26, 27 – 2010. If you enjoyed the video and like Karen’s music, make sure you attend this event to show your support.
