Song #19 on J. Cole’s latest mixtape, The Warm Up, is by far one of the best works of art ive listened to this year. In 2009 we have seen such young talented artist as Kid Cudi, Drake, and Wiz Khalifa either blow up or show promise of future success. One thing is for sure, all of those dudes have mad talent and listening to their projects is an experience filled with pure motivation, depicting a bright future for the children of hip hop. J. Cole is that educated kid coming up from North Carolina who depicts a story of struggle, using lyrics that just about any young man can relate to. I posted this song because lately it has helped me make it through some hard times, realizing that the sun don’t always shine and when its gone we get lonley but when its there we are fine.
